Welcome to our O is for Owl Book List and Activity List!
We have been reading through the alphabet this year in our home school preschool. It has been a fun way to get to know new books and new authors!
You can print off a list of our favorite OWL books or scroll down to see the list: O is for Owl Book List
*note: we did not get to read all of the books on the list. Many of them are still sitting on the shelf on hold at our library, which is closed to do the Corona Virus. I will update this page once we are able to read them all! These books looked good, but I am not sure since we didn’t get to read them yet. They are marked with an asterisk!
Below you will find…

- A list of activities you can try at home

Ideas for Biblical Integration
In literature and fables, owls are often thought of as wise. What is wisdom? Where does wisdom come from?
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. Proverbs 9:10
Talk about how God LOVES to give his people wisdom.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
Talk about King Solomon and his prayer for wisdom!
5 At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, “Ask what I shall give you.” 6 And Solomon said, “You have shown great and steadfast love to your servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you. And you have kept for him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day. 7 And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. 9 Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?” I Kings 3:5-9
Talk about how Christ is the wisdom of God.
20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1 Corinthians 1:20-25
Praying now that God would give you and your family wisdom as you navigate these unusual days in which we find ourselves. He is faithful and will provide you with all you need.
With love,
Trish
