- This book is HILARIOUS and so true! A realistic and humorous view of what happens when a new baby comes home to rule and reign over his adoring and exhausted subjects (mom and dad)!

- A fun book about the surprising importance of little things!
King Jack and the Dragon by Peter Bently
- This adorable board book about a make-believe adventure inspired our 5 year old to make a paper crown, build a fort in the living room, and turn a wooden spoon into a sword!

- This was a new Seuss for us! One of his earlier works written in 1939, it is longer than some of his more familiar books and not written in rhyme. A fun, whimsical story!

K is for King Literacy Activities

Talk about the sounds that “K” makes.
See if you child can find the K on the cover of each of the KING Books you read.
See if your child can think of any other words that start with the “K” sound: kiss, kitty, kite, kitchen, etc.
- Note: It is okay if they come up with some “C” words (cat, car, camp, etc). It is good that they are recognizing the correct sound.
Draw “K” bubble letters and have your child put stickers in the open space. This is good for fine motor skills as well.
